The Plan
We will be getting married on Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Rockport, Maine. Below are some basic details about our day. Check back after you've received your invitation for more information!
The Walk
One of our favorite things to do is take walks from our house to downtown Rockport. After our ceremony, we would love to walk with you from our house to the reception. The 0.4 mile walk takes about 7 minutes, but there will also be a shuttle available for those who would rather go for a ride. |
Other Things to Know
-Long Weekend: October 10, 2020 is the Saturday of Indigenous People's Day weekend. You will probably have Monday off! So if you're visiting from out of town, you can plan to take a long weekend and enjoy our beautiful state.
-Where to Stay: There aren't many big hotels close by, so we may not have a room block. However, there are tons of nice boutique hotels, inns, and vacation homes (check AirBnB, Home Away, and VRBO). We will update here with recommendations soon.
-What to Wear: The fall colors are absolutely stunning this time of year, but the weather can be chilly! Keep an eye on the forecast and plan accordingly. Feel free to dress comfortably too! "Maine Formal" includes gowns, flannel, and everything in between. :)
-Where to Park: We don't have parking at our house, so we will ask that our guests park downtown or on the street in between the Opera House and our house. We will send a detailed map of parking options with our invitations. There will be a shuttle to drive you from the Opera House to our house if you would like a ride.
